Privacy policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This policy explains how SuperrGuru ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit superrguru.com, contact us or book a demo, and how we handle student and teacher data when we provide our services to schools.
We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025. If anything here is unclear, write to us at the address at the end of this page.
What we collect on this website
- When you book a demo. Bookings are made through Cal.com. We receive your name, email address, the answers you give to the booking questions (such as your school, your role and your phone number) and the time you choose. If you arrived from a link with campaign tags (for example from a WhatsApp message we sent), those tags are passed along with the booking so we know which message brought you.
- When you contact us. If you message us on WhatsApp, call us or email us, we receive your phone number or email address, your name as you share it, and what you tell us.
- Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It records the page viewed, the page you came from, your browser and device type, your country and how fast the page loaded. It does not use cookies, does not identify you and does not follow you across other websites.
- Technical data. Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. To deliver pages and block attacks, it processes your IP address and basic details of each request.
- Stored only on your device. The site keeps two small items in your browser, not cookies: your "Pause animations" choice, and the campaign tags of your current visit (cleared when you close the tab). They are not sent to us, except that the campaign tags go to Cal.com with a booking.
We do not set cookies. The Cal.com booking calendar, which is loaded from Cal.com, may use its own cookies to work.
How we use it
- To arrange and hold demos, and to reply to your messages and calls.
- To follow up with you about SuperrGuru for your school. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To understand, in aggregate, which pages and messages are useful, and to improve the website.
- To keep the website and our services secure, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Student and teacher data in our service
When a school uses SuperrGuru, we process student and teacher data (such as answer sheets, marks, class recordings and notes) on the school's behalf, under its instructions and our agreement with it. The school decides what is processed and why, and is responsible for obtaining consent, including verifiable consent from a parent or guardian for every student under 18.
For this data we commit that:
- Nothing is recorded and no student data is processed without that consent.
- It is stored on servers in India.
- It belongs to the school and is used only to deliver the service to that school.
- It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to track or profile children or to target them with advertising.
- When the agreement ends, it is deleted or returned to the school, as the agreement says.
Parents, students and teachers with questions about this data should contact their school first. We will help the school respond, and you can also write to us.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run SuperrGuru, under contracts that limit how they may use it, or when the law requires us to:
- Cal.com for demo bookings.
- Cloudflare for hosting, security and visit statistics.
- WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us there.
- Our email and calendar providers for our replies and meeting invites.
- Government authorities when Indian law requires it.
Where it is stored
Student and teacher data from our service is stored on servers in India. Booking, contact and website data may be processed outside India by Cal.com and Cloudflare, as permitted under Indian law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and contact details for as long as we are discussing or providing services to your school, and delete them when they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. Visit statistics are kept only in aggregate. Student and teacher data is kept for the period set in our agreement with the school.
How we protect it
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), access is limited to the people who need it, and our service providers are bound to protect it. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform the people affected and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it;
- withdraw your consent, for example to stop follow-up messages;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to;
- raise a grievance with us.
Write to us at the address below and we will respond within the time the law requires. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This website is meant for school leaders and staff, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data through it. Student data reaches us only through schools, with verifiable parental consent, as described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell the schools we work with about significant changes.
